Jenica Bergere is an award-winning comedienne, actress, director, and producer.

Born with a director’s eye, Bergere graduated high school (barely) with Jenica Spielbergere inked on her graduation cap. She then set out to make her first film, but acting got in the way.

She landed her first series regular at age nineteen. She went on to book over a hundred film and television credits, appearing as memorable characters in films and TV across several networks such as ABC, NBC, CBS, Amazon, Showtime, and Netflix. During her prolific career, she has developed and produced content and honed her creative eye to encompass all areas of filmmaking.

Arriving at directing, she debuted her feature film COME SIMI, which received worldwide distribution and boasts several festival awards currently on HULU. SPARE ROOM marked her second directorial endeavor, further showcasing her ability to craft visually compelling narratives with powerful award-winning performances. It was named by Refinery 29 as one of the top five female-helmed films of the season and is available on PEACOCK and Paramount+.

Jenica is attached to direct the feature films GIRL + BOY, a coming-of-age teen romance starring Paris Berelc and Gunner Burkhardt; AUNT ROXIE, a laugh-out-loud comedy written by Johnny Rosenthal and produced by Amy Williams; and LEAVE YOUR LIGHT ON, a compelling drama based on actual events produced by Shelley and Chris Buck.

Recently, she directed/produced the short film UNSUPERVISED, starring Margaret Cho, Missi Pyle, Amy Landecker, and Michael Longfellow, which premiered at SCAD Savannah Film Festival. She recently wrapped a pilot presentation, BADD MANOR, a satirical single-camera comedy about rehab for the 1%.

Bergere has produced an exciting slate of projects to which she brings an extensive network of cast, crew, and creatives. These include the short film BUCKETS, directed by Dan Lubetkin, which is currently on the festival circuit and winning awards, and BEST AUNT EVER, directed by Jill Michele Melean.

Bergere has found her niche championing female filmmakers. She produced MERMAID, directed by Fia Perera and starring Nat Faxon, Mary Birdsong, Arturo Luis Soria, and Alex Moffat.  She's lined up, FLOATING, based on a best-selling novel slated to be shot in Montana in June of 2025 and directed by Amelia Mulkey. And she's making the rounds with the feature film FOR WORSE, written, directed, and starring Amy Landecker, also starring Bradley Whitford, Nico Hiraga, and Ken Marino, premiering at SXSW 2025.

A proper tour de force in independent filmmaking, Jenica Bergere continues to push creative boundaries, tell unique stories, and watch E.T. at least once a year with a bag of Reese's Pieces as if it were the first time she had seen it.
